No, unfortunately....sorry. I just spent the last twenty minutes searching for info. on this show for you on Google - and there's hardly anything out there. There are a few bits and pieces about the show's host (whose name is Angela Pulvirenti btw - including a rather sarcastic piece called 'Backstage Arse' - but the less said about that the better laugh.gif ) but, there's nothing on the interview itself that I could find. The (Australian) Channel 9 website is woefully inadequate. Even the production company doesn't have any info. available it seems....I'll see if I can get a transcript of it uploaded over the next few days. It'll depend on when I get a chance to watch the tape back though. That looks like the best that can be done right now. sad.gif

Thanks Cheryl! I'd love to read a transcript if I can't see the footage. You've gone above and beyond the call of duty of a good fan.

I couldn't find anything on "Backstage Pass" either. My curiousty has been peeked again by the posts about the "harem"? And the interview really sounds like it was funny? Thank you Cheryl for offering the transcript maybe. Another show that was posted on here was the Today show (AU) episode? It was the one with Chris and the pasta dinner? I went back to look at the video and couldn't find it? Did the show delete that particular one? Now that I have DSL, I was sure that I could view it!! (rub, rub, rub Cheryl!!!) laugh.gif Darn....

It seems Channel 9 has deleted the video, and I am sure I saw it at Youtube a while back - but it's no longer there. Hopefully someone with more computer nous than me, has saved it for you.

Yeah, I was sure I saved it and there are bits and pieces of that show, but not the cooking episode. I wish there was a place on youtube where we could request certain videos? I noticed that the Ellen D. clip is gone also? Maybe copyright problems? I fear that all the good clips will be gone soon? How to save the youtube videos to hard drive? I guess that is "against the law" to ask? rolleyes.gif

No worries...but do read on. smile.gif

Kathy ~ I should point that 'harem' remark WASN'T in the interview, *I* was the only one who used it (my piss-weak attempt at humour, lol.) Well, it's a bugger they've removed those videos on YouTube, but, I had a kind of brainstorm earlier (and no, it didn't hurt, tongue.gif ). I thought, well if I can stand there in front of the TV going 'snap' 'snap' 'snap' with my camera to get still shots, what would happen if I tried to use the video thingy instead?? And it freaking worked! (Mind you the only video I've ever attempted to create with my camera until now was one of my dog - and that looked like a badly-dubbed European movie - the dog would howl and her mouth would open several seconds later, lol). However, I gave it a go, and VOILA! It didn't turn out too badly, considering. O.k. the quality is NOT that great rolleyes.gif (but isn't as bad as those other pictures I posted here from the 'Max Sessions' debacle - *shudder*), but at least you can tell (1) it's Chris, and (2) at least you can hear him o.k. smile.gif So, the upshot of all of this, is that I can upload these little (extremely amateurish!) home movies to my web server, and offer them for download here for those who are interested.

O.k. now for a little bad news...

I have NO idea about the copyright ramifications - so I don't think I'll leave the links live here for very long once they go up. So, grab 'em while you can. There are a couple of shows I can try doing this with. The Channel 2 stuff (government run TV station down here in Aus.) I'm not so concerned about, but the Channel 9 ones might be a little more dicey. (But hell, I say if Eddie wants to send his legal eagles after me, BRING IT ON DUDE. laugh.gif I think I'd actually relish a stoush with that man, 'cause I'd take great pleasure in telling him to his face what a total arsehole I think he is, lol (the Aussies will get this wink.gif )

Also, these files are HUGE. So, it's going to take me a few days (on and off) to upload the 'Backstage Pass' thing in it's entirety. It only goes for half an hour - but just a six-minute grab ended up weighing in at 98 mbs ohmy.gif blink.gif So, I think what I'll be doing is just grabbing a minute here and there, and uploading them all separately (but in order, if that makes sense). So, sorry about the (dis)continuity, but this is the only way I can do it. I'm uploading something as I type this (the end of the 'My Favourite Top 10 videos' thing - or whatever it was called!) as a kind of test to see how it goes. These are Quicktime Movie files - so you'll need to grab this (free) program to view them. I believe it's Apple technology. They're 'mov' format files. FWIW, they were taken with a Kodak EasyShare camera. I'll be back later today with the linky. smile.gif

O.k. the first link is live now. This is the last segment of the show Chris did down here in Aus. called 'My Top Eleven' where he presented his top 11 videos. It's just the final bit (but it's quite funny). He tells a funny story about Bonnie Raitte (sp?!) and the song, 'Bonnie Bee' (or maybe it's 'Bonnie B.'??) Anyway, the rest of the show was mainly other people's videos with quick glimpses of him in between - this is the longest segment with him actually in it.

You'll need (Apple) Quicktime for this, if you haven't already got it on your computer:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

It MAY work with other programs (such as Real Player etc. - I don't have this, so really have no idea...) but I can tell you for sure it won't work with Windows Media Player (I have Win XP Home Ed. with 1 gig of RAM - and it wouldn't work for me). However it opened up with Quicktime just fine.

To download, right-click on the link below and choose 'save target as' ~

http://www.graphicallusions.com/isaak/100_0348.mov

Size: 24.43 Duration of movie: 1 min. 40 secs.

Let me know what you think, people! If you think it was worth it, I'll have a go at uploading the 'Backstage Pass' stuff, and a few other bits and pieces (that could take a while though smile.gif ) Remember, the quality won't be the same as watching a 'real' video - but to quote Elton John, 'don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player'. biggrin.gif

KV ~ You always make me laugh, you crazywoman. laugh.gif A dry sense of humour can be difficult to communicate sometimes - but I get it. smile.gif

Did anyone hear what he said after one of the commercial breaks (on Regis & Kelly) - I think after the Prison Break guy - when he was talking/whispering into Kelly's ear and didn't know they were live? Sounded like the end of a conversation they were having during the break. When they came back, the first part I heard him say (in her ear) was "I'm not your audience" and she said, "Aww . . . that's okay," and then he said something else and she said "And we're live!" or something like that and started laughing. I had recorded the show so I just saw it. Did anyone else notice? What else did he say??

KELLY GRINS AND POINTS AT CAMERA "OH, WE'RE ON!" MAKING OUT LIKE HE JUST WHISPERED "I LOVE YOU" IN HER EAR.

I THINK HIS BREATHE ON HER EAR MADE HIM COMPLETELY UNINTELLIGIBLE TO HER...OR SHE'S JUST A REALLY GOOD ACTRESS.

THANKS FOR GIVING ME A REASON TO WATCH THE SHOW OVER AGAIN. biggrin.gif

Well, maybe I'm the oddball here, but I think news announcing the capturing a suspected child killer is more important than listening to celebrities chat about fashion, movies and cooking. I like Chris Isaak as much as the next fan, but I think some fans have a bit of a skewed perspective on what's more important. (Or maybe I just value news over entertainment.)

Now that the 'self-confessed' but not-to-be charged-for-lack-of-evidence-linking-him-to-the-crime Jon Benet killer won't be going to the big house for Jon Benet's murder (duh!) can we press charges against him for causing us to miss Chris Isaak sub hosting for Regis?

That damn wacko...he certainly seemed to be enjoying his business class flight experience -- maybe Kenney should fly business class -- the shrimp probably doesn't stink up the plane in that section, K....

I googled for some 'salvage' and all I could find were car parts.

Copper basins are an "IN" thing to have.

I guess that's 'vintage', I don't know.

I noticed his comments too, when I watched the tape. I thought he told Kelly, "I love your audience", though - I must not have had the volume up enough.

I thought it was odd how he said, "You're pretty but you're sarcastic". not exactly what you would expect to hear him say, but she DOES have a tendency to be sarcastic. It is her persona - works with Reeg, but perhaps not everyone appreciates it.

No doubt she's been called worse things - she's been in show business a long time and must have enough self-esteem to not be crushed by this comment! ;-)

Did anyone see the Kelly & Regis show yesterday with Wilmer Valderama co-hosting? He was HYSTERICAL, and very cute! I've never seen him on anything but That 70's Show.
