Cat Stevens was quite the piano player. I loved him and thought he was gorgeous, as did my friends, when I was 15. We loved his music. Then one day he disappeared.

I don't know what to make of him nowadays. But I sure loved his older stuff.

I think that Cat Stevens is a genius and much more talented than Isaak. It seems like some people here have a lot of prejudices against Muslims. Perhaps you are influenced by the western media which likes to paint Muslims as being evil. Some of the nicest people that I know are Muslims.

The problem is not that Islam breeds violence and crime but polygamy. According to Psychology Today, countries in the Middle East and Africa where polygamy is legal are the most violent in the world. In those countries, because men can have many wives, there is a shortage of women. As a result, there will be some men who will never get married if they are too poor to afford a wife. Feeling like they have no future, these poor, single men will engage in more risky behaviour such as crime, terrorism, violence & rape. They will also become envious of men who have wives and will resort to rape if they can't have wives of their own. Women in Middle East must keep their heads covered as a protection against rape. However, the head covering doesn't protect them from rape since the envy of poor, unattached men from not having a wife is still present. This explains why the Middle East and Africa have such a high rate in rape and violence against women.

Another reason why the Aids epidemic is so high in Africa among women is that a lot of these women contracted Aids from rape.

Some of the more extreme sects of Mormons practice polygamy in this country. There are extremists and dangerous evil people in all parts of the world. Fortunately, they are the minority. Let's get over the hatred of any group because of different looks and practices.

Are you actually disputing the radical practices aspects of Muslim religion? You are disputing the fact that Muslim women are required to wear heavy garments (like tablecloths) from head to toe and are not allowed to drive and are required to marry whomever their male relatives order them to and are required to undergo genital mutilation before puberty and are routinely murdered for defying their male relatives or divorcing their husbands? Really? Or, are you just disputing the fact that Stuff and most other people find these practices objectionable? Does that mean that you think these practices are fine and dandy as long as the women agree to being stoned, mutilated, raped and murdered? Or, under what circumstances do you find these practices to be acceptable?

Regardless of Stuff's opinions on this or any other topic - and whether you agree with them or not - she has every right to express them when, and wherever she chooses, Angie. Unlike you, I AM qualified to comment on her character because I know the lady personally in RL, and can tell you that you'd have to go a hell of a long way to find a better human being. We're poles apart politcally-speaking also, but at the end of the day who gives a shit? Life's too short and good friends too hard to find these days to let something as trivial as opinions on politics or rockstars (that's current ones, has-been ones, come-back ones, Islamic ones, or even pretty-boy, blue-eyed ones from Stockton) get in the way of a good friendship.
