I joined McManus's facebook page and mailing list so that I could get the heads up on any tours that Chris would be doing to Australia 'cause he looks like staying with McAnal. Well, I've just gotten an email saying I can get discount tickets to another show. I guess thats fine, except he's published every single email address of people on his mailing list!!!!!!

How's that for confidentiality and protecting others from phishing, scams viruses and other crap.

Not only does he need lessons on tour organisation, but also Course 101 on sending e-mails mad.gif

LOL! Sorry, McAnus is stuck in remedial lessons for sending emails ever since his company sent pics of anyone to anyone after the show in Melbourne. blink.gif

Guess, that balls up didn't get them thinking. A Facebook site stuff up wouldn't surprise me either. Thanks for the heads up to avoid that fun place. I wonder if this tosser manages to actually pay his staff or pay the bills. Bet they work in the dark alot.

I'm thinking what I can do - anyone know how to block a screen full of email addresses? just hoping everyone deletes the email and doesn't think "oh goody - I love sending spam to people I don't know"

McAnus is a total tosser and has not got a clue. rolleyes.gif I was thinking that maybe Frontier Touring may be better, but good old Gudinski's stuffed up the upcoming James Hunter gig as well. Blaming it on the sale of Manchester Lane. BS I say. They knew it was up for sale. Now they want to cram the extra show they organised in with the first show - at a different venue! mad.gif
So it's time for Michael Chugg to come back. NOTHING ever went wrong with his gigs.

Hmmm. Handy Andy's up to his old tricks again, I see. The guy's a wanker and a total waste of space. And as for that company of his, 'AMP Presents' - what a bunch of tools. When I first heard McAnus was Chris's promoter I remember at the time thinking, 'Who the hell is that?'. He literally came out of nowhere, he rose up the promoter ranks so fast. Slimed his way to the top would be more like it, IMHO. One year nobody had ever heard of him, the next he's a millionaire who has a mansion in Toorak and a marquee of his own at the Melbourne Cup. Call me cynical, but these entrepreneur-types always make me a little nervous and a lot suspicious. 'AMP' don't give a rat's arse about explaning why venues are changed at the last minute, or concerts cancelled. Once they've got the ticket-buying public's money in their grubby little hands they probably don't think they owe us anything more. mad.gif

Unreal blink.gif

I got an email from amp (he doesn't deserve big letters!!) for something I'd never heard of, with an attachment, so I ditched it. I've just read all this stuff so couldn't help myself and went to see what I'd missed and sure enough ... a huge roll call of email addresses! Bloody hell laugh.gif

Oh, and I never got my free download link from March either. It's a good job I didn't want it anyway. Useless.

jac do you mean you're not seeing James Hunter at Manchester Lane anymore?? I didn't know it was up for sale but then I'm not in the business and I haven't been keeping up. What a pain, it's soon isn't it? sorry sad.gif

Still going smile.gif just a change of venue ... The Thornbury Theatre. How convenient is that!? blink.gif So now instead of 250 - they're aiming for 350. We've opted for dinner as well to get tables up front. Well, that's the plan at this stage! rolleyes.gif

Couldn't get a more different location from Manchester Lane if they tried! I guess any James Hunter fans living in that locale will be rapt!

I remember it being an AWFULLY BIG ADVENTURE when I took off, by train, to Thornbury ... oh, must be nearly 20 years back. They had a really cool place called the Melbourne Video Warehouse (I'm sure it doesn't exist any more) which was a treasure trove of second hand videos back in the days before sell through. I did a lot of looking, but not much buying, but it was great. I even drove in a couple of times once I'd sussed out where the place was! It was like something out of the Last Frontier (pun intended). The station wasn't manned (back in the days before ticket machines) and I felt very brave but still got back in time to pick the kids up from school with no mishaps!! I walked past the Thornbury Theatre (did a perusal of the High Street all on my lonesome laugh.gif ) but I don't remember it being called a theatre then. Anyway, that was a long winded way of saying I know where you're going and I hope it turns out to be memorable smile.gif

Katina,

That is such a no-no....to publish an entire mailing list of private email addresses and then to say it was done by accident? What buffoon does he have running the office? Seems to me there's got to be some kind of agency in Aus where you could report this guy!
