Tell me about it, it was front page news here in Melbourne this morning ... the whole godamn page. They tried to rationalise it by saying the accused had "been in Australia." Big, fat, hairy deal. It was just another excuse to put a huge picture of that poor little girl in all her make-up etc. ON THE FRONT PAGE, with another 2 page spread inside. I'm glad they caught the killer too, but don't get me started on what type of parents enter their little daughters in beauty pageants. These cheesy affairs are bad enough when the girls are so-called adults and can choose for themselves. Beautiful baby contests, children not allowed to be children but dressed up like mini Barbie dolls, 18 year olds who know how to solve all the world problems while posing in a swimsuit in front of ogling weirdos. Yuck!

Yeah I have to agree about subjecting little kids to beauty pageants of all the atrocious things. Competitive events in general for little kids should be avoided but of all the things to teach a tiny little girl, at the age of 4 to be so obsessed with body image over everything else?? It's absolutely SICK, IMO. And people wonder why eating disorders and depression are becoming so common in young kids.

On topic of Chris, I'm such an idiot. I FORGOT the show was on, and the dumbest part of it is, I don't have cable so I only get 3 channels (none of them perfectly) but that channel happens to be one of the 3 and there was nothing stopping me from at least watching this morning, though the VCR is broken now.

Geez, some of you women on here are real bitches. Just because someone else thinks the developments in the Ramsey case are important enough to have the press conference shown live, you gang up on him/her just because you're pissed that you missed part of Isaak's gig on the Regis show. Amd then you guys post a half dozen messages about how much you dislike anyhting to do with the Ramsey case! Geez, chill the fuck out! A lot of people in this country don't have Internet service or cable TV, and broadcast TV is the only immediate link to news. Yes this is the CHRIS ISAAK MESSAGE BOARD, not the message board for the RAMSEY case, hence message/blogs regarding anything ISAAK and yes Chris Isaak does rule here - its his damn website!! I do feel sorry for the Ramsey family, they lost their little girl and her mother died before the case was settled. Does anyone find the irony in this statement amusing?

A) Mostly everyone posting messages about Chris geting pre-empted were mad about that.
Then someone posts a message with a different viewpoint (that person values news over entertainment).
C) Then several members jump on that person (and vent about the Ramsey case as well).
D) Then someone else (who could have used much better language!) suggests that everyone chill out and let people have their own opinions.

And then someone writes "Boy, if you can't handle just a little difference in opinions, then you shouldn't hang out here." HA! The irony!

Instead of dragging this board down into the gutter, why not just let opposing opinions stand? Why does every flippin' board have to have people who like to jump on others and tell them that their opinion is wrong? Honestly, I don't think people really practice what they preach. The essence of free speech is to tolerate differing opinions, not shout them down. The reason I posted this message is not to fan the flames or start a debate of any sort, but to show how pointless it is to be sarcastic, engage in namecalling, and expect to change someone else's opinions.
