Hello To All,

The Chris Isaak And Silvertone concert in Boston last evening was FABULOUS!! Just when you think that this band of perfection cannot get any better, they never cease to amaze me. Over the years, I have had the great pleasure of enjoying CI&S at several shows in many different venues. Their performance last night was really TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT!! The way their songs were mixed, especially during the acoustic set, was so wonderful. Each tune flowed into the next with the most incredible precision. Their energy last night was at an extremely high level.

Please find below the set list for their 2006 show in Boston.

Lonely With A Broken Heart
Let's Have A Party
Let Me Down Easy
Return To Me
Speak Of The Devil
Dancin'
Somebody's Crying
Wicked Game
Go Walkin' Down There
One Day
I Want You To Want Me

Acoustic Set:

Waiting
Two Hearts
Except The New Girl
Graduation Day
Can't Do A Thing (To Stop Me)
Judy
I'll Go Crazy
Only The Lonely

Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing
Don't Be Cruel
Gone Ridin'
Super Magic 2000
Blue Hotel
San Francisco Days
Bonnie B.
Blue Spanish Sky

During their performance, almost the entire audience was up dancing and singing. Sitting in the fourth row center, and being respectful, I did not want to block the view of individuals in back of me. When I turned around to see if anyone was bothered by my gyrating and movin' and groovin', I found that most fans were also either standing or dancing up a storm. Those who chose to sit and enjoy the music had the biggest smiles on their faces. Living here all of my life, I have always realized that BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS is MOST DEFINITELY a MUSIC FANATIC CITY. At almost ALL of the concerts I have been to with the various artists, it is the norm to get up, dance, sing, and even holler during the faster, rockin' songs. True Bostonians LOVE MUSIC, and we know how to show our appreciation to those performing on stage. That is probably why numerous musicians choose the city of Boston to record or tape their live performances. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC, BABY!!

If anyone is planning on attending a CI&S concert in the future, you are in for a REAL TREAT!!

I would like to extend my personal thanks to Chris Isaak And Silvertone for sharing their AWESOME talents with all of us. wink.gif Being able to experience your live performances is ALWAYS THE BEST!!

Hi Antiques

It was great to hear about the Boston show and to see the set list. I see he didn't do "King without a Castle" at your show. He didn't do it at both of the shows I went to. I was really surprised at that.

Back in July they were doing "King Without A Castle". It seems like they dropped it from the setlist now. They did it in Vegas and most of the CA shows that I attended. Did all the band members come out at the Meet & Greet? I seemed to have missed a couple of them in Boston.

Hello, wildflower,

You are very welcome!!

"King Without A Castle" was not played at the CI&S concerts in Boston or Gilford, New Hampshire. It is AWESOME that "Speak Of The Devil" was back on the list this year. In 2005, they did not include this one. Being one of my FAVORITE songs to hear performed live by them, I was a VERY happy person. wink.gif Their dance moves at the end of this tune ALWAYS manages to stir the audience into a frenzy!!

They were all out, however, when a couple of the "stalker" types were spotted, band members walked away.

Hey, I was at the concert too and I LOVED it!! It was my first time seeing Chris Isaak since I first discovered him 10 years ago in high school! I was so surprised at how funny he is compared to the seriousness/sadness of his songs. He sounds like a great guy...

I didn't stay at the end to get an autograph (I had to drive 70 miles to come back home) but I surely wish I had...How long do you have to wait until they come out and are people waiting in line etc..?

Can't wait for his next concert! Plus I feel so lucky because I am from Europe and he's not touring Europe so I was lucky to be there!!! ;-)

The Boston Concert was one of the best I have ever attended. The band was having a great time and it showed!

They played a longer set than earlier in the week at Verona, and later, in NH. Musicianship and showmanship, top notch!

Afterwards, it was a meet and greet to all, and the guys were staying in Boston so they were relaxing and looking forward to some down time after lights out at the Pavillion.

Looking forward to more greatness in FL and TX.

Jumping in here. Hi I'm new around these boards and will prolly lurk for the most part. so a huge *wave* to everyone around.

So the set up. My gay boyfriend ( yes his offical title) called and asked about the CI concert. we debated a bit and all.. then the promoter did a $10 ticket for a 12 hour window, so I got 2 tickets. not a big deal right. well I've liked everything I've heard from CI, but never bothered to buy the cds blink.gif blink.gif
Anyhow to make the long/short story longer. I was looking up direction/parking info for the place in boston. I know it as harborlights ( saw billy bragg and barenaked ladies there 10 yrs earlier) so while checking I wanted to see how tickets were selling. Mind you this is tues afternoon at about 2pm the show was wed at 7:30pm. hmm Sec 2 row A seat 13&14. could be all mine for 125 bucks, oh pooh I already spent 35 on tickets to a show I was just iffy about.

Still hanging in there.

2 hours later the tickets were still there, quick check of the credit card. and I bought them. At this point I'm feeling rather manic and crazy..

low and behold I ended up with front row center stage. OKay 2 seat off from Chris, but damn close enough. My GB ( gay boyfriend) and I sat there and giggled the entire night. we could not believe it. By the time, song 3 or 4 came around my face hurt from grinning so much.

I LOVEDLOVEDLOVED the show. SO much so that I have trouble discribing how much fun we had. I'm not sure if it was the seats or the "tent" but I felt like every song was sung to me, I'm hoping everyone else felt the same. I only wish I could have gotten up to boogie ( i stepped on a nail earlier in the day)

I will be back next yr. I should have gone to meadowbrook, I only live 45 mins away. But I was on such a High from Boston I didnt want to be let down.

Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and go with it, you might end up a Chris Isaak fan in the end. now I'll just have to explain the billing statement to my other half unsure.gif

xoxo

Hello, Deanna,

It is definitely "All About The Music". Thank goodness I am not connected in any way to the "stalkers". There is NO WAY I want to be associated with or connected with that particular group of overly-obsessed females!!

During the Boston Meet and Greet, I was chatting with a few females I had met at some previous Chris Isaak And Silvertone concerts over the years. One of the band members, who was standing very close to me, yelled out "Hey, Carol, are you purposely avoiding me?". I replied, "No, I am not purposely avoiding or ignoring you. I do not want to bother you while you are with other fans. I do not like to interrupt people." This particular band member was speaking with two female fans at the time. One of the females smiled at me and said, "That's OK, you can come over and join us."

Since I was very young, my parents taught me not to invade other people's personal space. To this day, I try not to do that. There is the normal "wanting to get close to celebrities and their fans"; then, there is the "wanting to get TOO close to celebrities and their fans" and "getting too much into their personal lives". When that thin line is crossed, it is known as "stalking". Personally speaking, I would NEVER want to be associated with anyone who is directly or indirectly connected with individuals who purposely stalk others. wink.gif

Take care.

I am curious as to why you bring up stalking and stalkers in many of your posts?

True, but review your post...once again defining stalkers, and how you are not one, and do not want to be associated with stalkers. It appears defensive. Did you do something naughty in the past?
