One of these classic Tom Jones hits - (take your pick!)
She's A Lady or
Sex Bomb
Kiss - by Prince
Dimples - John Lee Hooker
...and on accordian, (instrumental only please!)
Stairway To Heaven
Dimples Polka -by Guido Deiro
...accompanied by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, please sing a little opera!
Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro)
And last, but not least,
Crazy Little Thing Called Love

She who laughs, lasts. Scotty is Chris' keyboard and accordion player. If Chris and Silvertone cover "Stairway to Heaven" on accordion, Scotty will be the one playing it. That should make his day.

I don't know if Scotty is a Led Zeppelin fan. The accordion is used a fair bit in a Chris Isaak concert. The combination of "Stairway to Heaven" and the accordion may push Scotty into therapy.

After watching Chris on Jay Leno, I finally understand the "Chris Isaak Schtick"!
...these little gems just might be the magic songs for the summer tour!!!
1. Girls! Girls! Girls! ~Elvis Presley
2. The Wanderer ~Dion
3. Just A Gigolo ~David Lee Roth ...this would be the final song of the night...Chris would end it with a little tear in his eye...ALL the girls would then flock to the meet and greet line, buying every TShirt, picture, CD, puppet and bobble head, etc. to cheer him up!!!
"Oh Chris, we care, we care!"
Have any of these been done before?!

Well, if he's learning a Springsteen tune for the tribute concert, he could bring it on stage with him for his tour...maybe "If I Should fall Behind" or "Pink Cadillac"
Beyond that, maybe "Oh Darlin" or "One after 909" by the Beatles could be charming...

I would love to hear Chris sing Nights in White Satin by the Moody Blues, though I've heard getting recording rights for that one is close to impossible. He has the perfect range for it and it's an intense love song.

I think the cover songs that Chris chooses himself are the best ones. I know he likes to do Ricky Nelson songs in his shows here and there so I suggest either of these, if he hasn't done them already (or do them again!):
** I Wanna Be Loved (Ricky Nelson)
** Stood Up (Ricky Nelson)

I would love to hear Chris and Silvertone do these songs:
"That's My Desire" ~have heard them do it but not in person..
"My Happiness" ~heard Chris sing it in interviews and would love to hear the whole song live.
"It's Over" (Roy)~ If I ever heard Chris sing this song, someone would have to scrape me off the floor!!
"Close to Cathy" (Mike Clifford)~ For obvious reasons! (with a K)
Chris! Are you listening???

Im with Angiekay on this one.
I listen and prefer Chris Isaak's music because its original and different, and with the huge variety of music written by this guy, this in itself gives enough selection. I love listening to the older less well known songs of his, and I tend to skip through the non original music when listening.
If I want to hear take off of others songs I can go to a Karaoke evening.
The Christmas CD is an exception, but again to have new original christmas music included was "the icing on the cake"
So Chris, please keep your music pure and non commercial, as this to my mind is the only way to maintain your individuality, and set you aside from so many others.

My vote is for "The Man With the Golden Arm" to open the show. It would be a nice kind of "flashback" thing, since they used to do that one 20 years ago or so. It's a great instrumental piece, circa 1956.

What about a lovely Leonard Cohen song, ie "Don't go home with your hard on" (only kidding!)
I'd like to hear him sing a Jim Croce song.... "Time in a Bottle" or "I'll have to say I love you in a song"
And, a wistful John Lennon song "In my Life"
He really has no need to do covers though..unless they are his favourites.
His voice is so good he could sing almost anything and improve on the original. For instance was watching Roy Orbison sing "Only the Lonely" on TV during the week and have to admit Chris sounds better. Sorry Roy, R.I.P.

Well, my sweet, I gotta say I DISAGREE WID YA!!

I'm sure Chris would do that song justice, but Brucie boy sings that song like nobody else, let me tell you.

I'm a Bruce fan from waaaaaaaaaay back and just LOVE that song. He kind of growwwwwwls all the way through it, in a sexy, kind of dangerous bad-boy way that still gives me chills. Now, in saying that, if Bruce ever attempted to sing 'Wicked Game' I'd be down on the floor rolling around, but not because I'd be getting all hot and bothered, but because I'd probably be laughing my head off instead.
