Hi y'all,

Maybe you've read this article already or maybe it's posted somewhere else.

I'm assuming Don is the aged neighbor who lost his wife. He recently passed away. sad.gif

The article lets his fans/stalkers know that his place is being watched by cameras and neighbors.
A good question to ask Chris would be if the arsonist was ever discovered. My guess is they weren't.

Maybe this incident (along with threatening mail) is why he moved to boat house in Vancouver and stopped touring?

"Speak of the Devil" is a figure of speech. That means, it's not to be taken literally. Chris is referring to a woman that he still has feelings for though she's not present. When he hears, sees her or speaks her name, the deep feelings he has for her well up inside. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to that. It's not a song about the Devil or Satan. On the contrary, Chris is not trying to hide anything in his work and is being honest about his feelings. There's nothing occult about this song. I don't know about the rest of the album, but it's safe to say that whoever he writes about on any album might be a real person and it wouldn't be nice to name who they are in the song. I'm sure anyone who knows Chris personally would know who the woman is.

Reporters have asked him to name the subjects of his songs but he refuses to reveal that information. That just goes to show he's a gentleman. In fact, none of the behavior I've seen from him at his shows or on t.v. suggest that he's into Satanic practices. On the contrary, he tends to have sort of an evangelical flavor to his on stage banter. He tends to poke fun at people with loose morals. Most of his fanbase tend to be people of like mind, when he talks about relationships consisting of one man and one woman. Most of the songs he covers or writes have to do with a traditional view of marriage and relationships.

When it comes to Chris Isaak and Silvertone's shows, there's only one thing that I would like to see removed. That would be the alcholic beverages. Not because they're flammable. laugh.gif Thankfully, most of the fans are responsible drinkers. However, it only takes one person to ruin it for the rest of us. Also, people are going to be driving after they drink which makes the situation more precarious.

Have a safe winter everybody!

Hi Karaokevox, what you said about the alcohol at concerts is so true. Due to some bad experiences at the last shows I've been to, I'm really having second thoughts about whether it's even worth going anymore. Obnoxious drunks, talk-through-the-whole-concert drunks, falling-over drunks... I REALLY RESENT IT! I seem to always have drunks next to me, or behind me, or both! Trying not to let it bother me only works for a short while, then I just feel resigned to it, and that is just not fair! Thanks for letting me vent, I feel better, for now!
