Here's some good news. Since his CD debuted at No. 1 down here in Aus - it's slipped down to No. 3 (as of last week) however when I checked this morning, he's bounced back up to No. 2 again! See, ya can't keep a good man down. smile.gif

Hey Cheryl,

Thanks for another great article post. Do you happen to remember the exact date that CI Best Of was released in Australia? I'd like to add release dates to the Timeline. Many thanks!

At least he is still in the top 3 hey.
Got to be happy about that!

You're welcome. smile.gif Thanks Miss Sugar - I don't think I would have known that - would have had to go Googlin' for it. But, I can tell you this little snippet, Forever Blue. I remember reading in the paper recently that Chris was told his album had gone to No. 1 down here while he was still in the country. Apparently he and Kenney were informed of this while they were both at an Aussie Rules game up in Sydney, lol. (For the record, it was a Sydney Swans vs. St. Kilda match - and what on earth they would have made of it - well, the mind boggles! laugh.gif laugh.gif ) That would have been on a Saturday... as for the date (I think the 17th, or thereabouts??)

Also....I've been avoiding mentioning this (for reasons which will soon become obvious, lol) but there was another article in a Melbourne newspaper about Chris that I sadly never saved (and I've never seen anyone else mention either, so perhaps nobody else here knows about it - which makes this confession all the worse!). Anyway, I didn't save this one because before I had the chance, another member of my household grabbed the first piece of newspaper at hand (which was the 'Hit' liftout - that had the interview on the backpage) to mop up......oh dear......I've gotta confess......DOG SICK. Yes, the poor dog was unwell and threw up all over the carpet, and the last I saw of this article....well, you really don't want to know the state of it, lol. IPB Image

It was a shame, because there was a nice picture involved, and a couple of quotes from Chris about how he liked coming down here to Australia because we were so laid back, similar to how Californians are, apparently. (Sorry if I've grossed you out by writing about dog sick, lol). And what a waste of quality newspaper....sigh. mellow.gif

Miss Sugar: those two dancers wouldn't be DIRTY dancin' now would they?! I ask that, because when the animation freezes - their hips are kind of pointed south, or something. hee hee. wink.gif smile.gif
