Does anyone know of her? I just recently discovered her, but have not heard everything yet...

I believe that she is a French Canadian though she has lived in Paris for some time. FifiKitty probably knows more on this subject. She knows all... in a good way. Also Feist is her last name?

I think I did read that, have you heard any of her music? As usual, I like some, and do not like some of the others that I have heard so far... She has gotten good reviews on Amazon, but is that really worth anything? I am beginning to think there are no entire albums out there that I like, other than Chris!

I know all? Thanks! Her real name is Leslie Feist. She's a member of Broken Social Scene, a Canadian band that won a Juno last year. She is originally from Nova Scotia.

Addition: I've heard her song, "Mushaboom" and I'm not keen on it. Not my thing at all.

Thanks for the info! I listened to "Mushaboom" and also was not impressed. But, I really like "When I Was A Young Girl". So, I guess I am asking too much to like all the songs on an album.....

Did you catch Feist on SNL last night? The first song she sang... 1,2,3,4 (don't know the title) is used for a Joe clothing line commercial here in Canada. Joe is sold in the Canadian Superstore Grocery chain.

No, I did not realize she was going to be on. I am such a loser. I wonder if the host has any say on who the musical performer is? I heard that Brian Williams really likes Feist. 1,2,3,4 is the title of the song! It is also used here in the states for the new ipod nano commercial. Oh, I read somewhere that she turned McDonalds down when they offered her 1 million dollars to use her song Mushaboom in their ads.... I did buy her 2 cds after starting this post, and like some of her stuff alot, some not at all, and some grows on me each time I listen. I think that is very standard for me with most artists. Some of it is a bit strange, and I have to be in the right mood. I listened to a cd on the hour drive to visit my mom today.....
