Aaahhhh!!! When when when!!??? I would really like to speak to whomever updates Chris' site, because they are soooooo slow!!
Oh I hope this album is available here in October too! What are the chances he'll be selling at his SF shows? Slim to none? Maybe? I don't see why not!!!!
It would appear it's an Australia only release .... which is a bit strange, if you ask me!

UNIVERSAL MUSIC PROUDLY ANNOUNCE CHRIS ISAAK WILL RETURN TO AUSTRALIA FOR A NOVEMBER PROMOTIONAL TOUR IN SUPPORT OF ISAAK'S EXCLUSIVE AUSTRALIAN ONLY 'LIVE IN AUSTRALIA' ALBUM
& ATTEND THE 2008 MELBOURNE CUP CARNIVAL
SYDNEY, September 29th, 2008 - Universal Music Australia is delighted to announce the signing of international recording artist CHRIS ISAAK to the label and will market & distribute a new Isaak release in Australia and New Zealand effective immediately. The Grammy nominated singer songwriter has developed strong ties to Australia over the course of his stellar career with combined sales surpassing one million units in the territory as well as an enduring relationship with Australian concertgoers for more than a decade.
George Ash, Managing Director, Universal Music Australia, commented; "Chris is a legend. I am immensely proud to have the opportunity to work with Chris. He is an extraordinary artist, dynamic performer and consummate entertainer. His phenomenal success in Australia pays homage to the special relationship he has with his many fans around the country. We are looking forward to a wonderful partnership and to the exciting new album from Chris, 'Live in Australia' which is set for release on October 18th."
The San Franciscan native will be coming to Australia in early November to promote his first ever live album titled 'Chris Isaak - Live In Australia'. The live set was recorded during Isaak's sold out concerts as part of his 'Best Of Chris Isaak' 2006 tour with his long time band, Silvertone. The album features quintessential Isaak songs including 'Wicked Game', Somebody's Crying', 'Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing', 'Speak Of The Devil' and 'Only The Lonely' as well as a few fun stories. The live album is an entrée to new studio recordings that will form Isaak's new studio album set for release in early 2009.
Isaak commented on the deal; "I'm really excited about my new record label. The people at Universal Records in Australia are hard working and tops in their field. But boy do I have them fooled. They haven't realised that me making a live record in Australia just gives me one more reason to come back to a place I love! I wonder if surf wax and sunscreen is deductable as a recording expense? I am counting down the days until I return!"
Isaak is no stranger to the annual Melbourne Cup Carnival and will return to Flemington in November to be a guest of Andrew McManus Presents. In 2006, Isaak and Silvertone performed in the coveted pre-race Melbourne Cup performance slot.
Isaak's most recent Australian album release in June 2006 heralded a 'Best Of' collection following nine albums, twelve singles, two Grammy nominations, several motion picture roles and his own critically acclaimed TV series "The Chris Isaak Show". Australians embraced the 'Best Of' album and rocketed the collection to the pinnacle of the National ARIA Albums Chart at #1 upon its debut. The album has remained in the best sellers lists surpassing triple platinum sales as well as culminating in a hugely successful 'Best Of' sell-out Australian tour in 2006.
The new label deal ends the long association Isaak held in Australia with Warner Bros Records, a division of Warner Music Australia.
"I want to sincerely thank Warner Music Australia's past and present staff for all their dedicated work and for the memorable times we shared." said Isaak. "I am genuinely looking forward to this new chapter in partnership with George Ash and his team at Universal Music and look forward to a rewarding and enduring musical journey. And maybe surfing some waves as well!"
