In between Thanksgiving dinners (Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians) I came across a radio interview clip (with video).

Chris talks about Stockton and seems particularly interested in its notoriety for foreclosures.

We don't get to hear Chris' story about his transistor radio but I am expecting it would be riveting had he been able to finish it.

Thanks-yea I heard the shortened version. Supposedly, the full interview is on KGO's website, but I haven't listened yet. I would've liked to hear the whole radio story too. It made me think of this little clip I saw of Roger McGuinn telling about his transistor radio collection and how it led him to play the guitar, http://growingbolder.com/media/entertainme...usic-67033.html. I bet Chris' collection could rival and probably outdo Roger's!
I remember when we used to take one to the beach and try to hear the songs on it by attempting to prop it up in the sand or towel, since there was nothing else "back then".

And Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Not a whole lot of celebrating of Columbus going on in my home, except doing laundry and getting ready to go back to the ol' grind tomorrow, but it's great to have another day off after vacation.
