I stumbled across this searching for something about the Melbourne Cup, and thought some of you folks from Down Under might be interested in a little tad of historical footage just to see how it looked back then.

I enjoyed that, thank you. People certainly wore plenty of clothes back then compared to today's Melbourne Cup Carnival! Moving pictures have been around for such a short time and it's scary how far technology has advanced huh.gif

I forgot to mention that my husband got the winner!! He put $5 for a place on 3 horses that weren't really in the running. Don't know what happened to the other two, but Viewed came good and he won $70! If he'd backed it to win he would have won about $350, but seeing that it only won by a nostril hair, he was happy ... and he would have got the same amount if it had come second!

You're welcome, Stuff. I thought it was pretty neat being that old and in such good condition. Yea, technology has gotten a little scary in some respects, but so have a lot of things in this world. But without technology as advanced as it is, we wouldn't be able to play clips of Chris on youtube.

That's cool your hub won some dough. Good for him! Did Chris win anything on his bets the other day, does anybody know?
