I pity those poor John Mellencamp fans here in Melbourne. JM and Sheryl Crowe were supposed to perform at Rochford Winery on Saturday night in the Yarra Valley as part of the annual Day on the Green thing, but had to cancel the whole thing at the last minute due to a freak(ing!) blizzard sweeping over the entire state (and much of Aus. this week):

The weather did a bad, bad thing.

They'll get their money refunded, but that was naaaaasty. And to think it's officially summer here next week...

I've enjoyed every second of the weather the last few days. I know it's been wilder where you are, Cheryl but it's still been civilised. It'll be sweaty again before you know it and it's a lot harder to get cool! Roll on May

p.s. just as well you didn't fork out $400 or whatever it was for John Mellencamp! You can keep the outdoor shows ... for big money I expect all mod cons!!
