Cheryl's CRAZY-4-CHRIS
Chris likes to end his concert gig of "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing" with the following lyrics:

"Well I'll probably never see you no more....
...God Bless You, God rest your soul...
...bye, bye little baby, baby bye bye." [repeat]

What is this from? mellow.gif

The song is bye baby, bye bye, made most famous by Fats Domino, in my opinion. You can find a mp3 or maybe even youtube.

Thanks EmilyQ...I knew it was a familiar song...but didn't know from who.
I'll go check it out! wink.gif

I checked it out but it doesn't seem to be the same words. I'm having a "duh" moment here so can others hear the similarity?

I should clarify, At the end of the BDABBT, CI sings some extra words live,
Well I'll probably never see you no more....
...God Bless You, God rest your soul...
...bye, bye little baby, baby bye bye."

Many years ago my sister used to listen to a station that had 50s music on Saturday night. I've often heard Fats Domino sing Bye Bye Baby Baby Bye Bye.
The first time I heard Chris sing this line of the song, I knew it was that Fats song I heard long ago.
BUT, I should mention, the part of the song CI sings:
Well I'll probably never see you no more....
...God Bless You, God rest your soul...

I have no clue where this came from.
Good question to ask at the meet and greet, IF someone has nothing else to say, ha ha.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, EmilyQ. I was watching the song on YouTube and waiting for Fats to sing that end bit and didn't hear it. Yes, someone has to find out where that end bit is from -- I'm sure I know it but I can't place it.
