Great clip, Silversands. Sidney Poitier's dancing is unique to say the least.
I don't think I realized the Mindbenders were the band in the party scene. Now I know. We're just waiting to find out from Plummy what Lulu did to make the Scottish dislike her.
OK, back to "The Informers" now....sorry for the diversion. First of all, you're all welcome for the picture girls. It took me all of about 2.4 minutes to do that, so no real trouble on my part.
Simple Minds are always good value. I've got New Gold Dream and Street Fighting Years - top albums, both. Glittering Prize, Someone Somewhere in Summertime, Promised you a Miracle all bring back great memories of a certain time in my life. Och ai Jim Kerr! (Apologies to Plummy for atrocious use of Scottish vernacular.

)
As for Lulu, maybe it's just one of those things where a celeb, while being popular in other parts of the world isn't as popular in their homeland?? In Australia we call that the 'tall poppy syndrome'. There's a lot of Aussie celebs who are not that popular down here, let me tell you. Nicole Kidman for instance. Nine out of ten people think she's a waste of space (and I'd be No. 4 on the list..

). Steve Irwin wasn't really appreciated while he was still alive....he's universally loved now of course. Death is a great popularity booster.

It's just human nature, I guess....*shrug*
