Thanks Kathy & Fifi (I'm jealous, too!) for that great article. I love the quote "Mom, you realize I'm a rock star?" hee! I have one kinda weird question that you may be able to answer, Kathy, living in California. Chris mentions his basement...I always thought you didn't have basements in California. So what's the deal with that? Only reason I ask is that I have a friend who is looking for a house in the LA area and she says she's really gonna miss a basement for all her crap.

Some homes in California have basements [mostly older homes]...but not very many. I don't think new ones of today have them at all.
