It doesn't look like Chris was in attendance:

"Senator Entertainment's drama thriller "The Informers" has got a red carpet treatment on Thursday, April 16 for its Los Angeles premiere. Taking place at ArcLight Theater, the special screening event was attended by two of its prominent stars, Academy Award-nominated actor Mickey Rourke and award-winning actress Kim Basinger.

In addition to both of them, cast members, Austin Nichols, Jon Foster, Jessica Stroup, Lou Taylor Pucci and Rhys Ifans, as well as director Gregor Jordan were also present for the special occasion. Meanwhile, the celebrity guests spotted on the evening included "Step Up 2 the Streets" beauty Briana Evigan, music composer Christopher Young, TV personality Katie Price and Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat.

Based on Bret Easton Ellis' book of short stories published in 1994, "The Informers" is set in Los Angeles in 1983. It revolves around seven interconnected stories of movie executives, rock stars and other morally challenged characters as they mix and mingle in the course of a week. The story is said to be a flashback to the nihilistic world of Ellis' youth.

This Nicholas Jarecki-scripted movie has made its debut at 2009 Sundance Film Festival on January 22 and was screened also on the following two days, January 23 to 24, at the festival that took place in Park City, Utah. It will be released in New York and Los Angeles next Friday, April 24."

Is the movie going to be released in only New York & Los Angeles next Friday? I am wondering if the movie will be released here in Texas & other states as well.

I'm wondering the same thing. I guess it's a wait and see. BTW, Deanna, love your avatar! biggrin.gif

Just heard a commercial on the radio for "The Informers"...no mention of Chris. At the end it said "in theaters Friday", no mention that it's only in NYC or LA or a limited release.

I've been seeing TV commercials and it doesn't mention anything about limited showings. I would think if there is a commercial showing the movie that it would be shown theater wide.

I just heard the commerical for "The Informers" on one of my local radio stations. Once the movie premieres tomorrow, I am going to look online & see if any movie theaters in my city will carry it. Hopefully they will.

I just came back from watching "The Informers". It was an interesting movie. I liked the music in it from the 80's. Chris's role was cool. The movie is 1 hr. 38 mins. long (98 minutes)

A friend told me that the movie is only playing 2 or 3 days in the Bay Area of SF. When sales are low from the start, theatres tend to pull a film quickly.

It's been playing here (in San Francisco) for the past week and is on the schedule for the next week.

Thanks for that info. Do you know if it's still playing in L.A. and what theatre.
I have friends there who are curious to see it.

Love Kim Basinger she is so gorgeous. With a cast like that, it bombed anyway.
Go figure.
