Just because. Does there have to be a reason? Love you Freddie.

LOVE OF MY LIFE x 3

Not sure exactly when this clip was taken, but round about 77 or 78. There are a LOT of clips up there, all good.

this is the album version from 1975. It's such a beautiful song.

Brian May 2005, with a lot of help from the audience. He's great, hasn't lost his touch with the acoustic guitar and sings quite well (very well!) It's very touching and Freddie's Mum was in the audience. She would have been moved. Super.

The story of Mary Austin, the love of Freddie's life referred to in the song. She'd be 58 years old now. The year 2000 was also when Freddie Mercury, the Untold Story DVD was released. It's on YouTube if you want to look it up. I bawled my eyes out the first time I watched it ... it was many years after Freddie's death before I could even bring myself to listen to the music again.

A really nice version of the story of Freddie and Mary with some great photos.

an interview with Jim Hutton, three years after Freddie died. He was Freddie's lover for the last 7 years of his life and was with him when he died. Nice man.

Anyone remember LIVE AID? 1985. Who stole the show then?

The World's Best Rock Gigs

Interviews about Queen's shining moment from 1985 where they stole the show at Live Aid

Roger sums it up neatly. "We were a bloody good group!"

Read the explanation of the rules of the game that the person who posted the clips put up (all except the intro). Click on more info ...

Part 5 is at the beginning because that's the rehearsal and pre-event chat. It's also the only good shots we got of Roger, hardly saw him during the live broadcast but you could sure hear him! Fabulous drummer and what a stunning backing singer to have! Brian in short shorts was quite a sight to behold smile.gif

An interview with Brian one week after Freddie's death. It's interesting reading it again after all these years and knowing what's happened since. More later ...
