Caught various shows...VERY cool!?!?

John Prine, Del, Old 97s, Todd, Little Feet, Malo, Rosie Flores, Cuzin Dave and all kindsa other folks...all for FREE (well, except for the cost of yer 2.00 muni fare, anyway)....

Still amazes me that you can have over 100, 000 people in the same place with very little or no security and still have liquored-up folks behave (relatively speaking)...Saturday there was almost no po pos (I think they were at the Luv Fest). Do you think yer Uncle Chris was there (at the Luv fest, I mean?), cuz we all know what a Big Lover (of the arts, of course) he is...Sunday the police were visible, but didn't see anything major happen the whole time I was there (except for a few tree-people...in SF they don't need to come outta the closet, they just come outta the trees...)

Have a few pics and such and will share when time permits. Highlights include the lead singer from the Nuns singin' w/the Old 97s, Rosie Flores lightin' up the stage (in more ways than 1) and Todd Snider singing CCRWRSWAM.

(P.S. Thanks to everyone who was willin' to pass the flask. Did you know they allow you to BYOB at GG park?? How downright progressive, which leads me to reckon I've just been drinkin' in all the wrong public places...Hmmmmm....I sldo have it on high authority that The Old Broad who has been MIA these many years, was reported to have been spotted River Dancing on The Speedway on Saturday and passing the flask all weekend long!?!?)

Did you happen to catch an eccentric English singer named Robyn Hitchcock? I love that guy.

Sounds like a great time! Is it an annual event? How'd ya like The Old 97's? I love them and have a major crush on Rhett Miller!

It was great fun, Wildflower. I got a few stories but I'm a little bunred ut right now. The Old 97s had the crowd rockin' like there was no tomorrow...I got a few pics of Rhett (including one of him full on head-bangin' a-la Angus Young that I will post later).

Hey WIldflower, I actually have a crap load of other shots of different folks from other stages, but my net connection out here in the sticks is so bad i gotta post most of the stuff with my phone (that's pretty dang sad). i think i'm gonna have to break down and switch down to comcast so i can actually read my email once in a while..can't even post my vid of your cuzin Todd Snider singin' CCRWRSWAM (or his funny story about 'the people in the 'smoke pitt' from high school which it a bit of a bummer....man,both he and isaak both share similar talent when it comes to story tellin' ability...

bout Rhett, that shot's kinda a-la angus, but there was actually another one i was referrin' 2. (his hair is flyin' all over the place....and his bodsy was almost stopped...a kinda continuing of motion surreal thing...)
