Hi everyone.

I was wondering who has bought the Jamie Reid biography of Chris? I bought it on ebay several months ago
and have only just sat down to read it. (Saving it).

Two lines into the first chapter and I discovered a glaring error. The author has Chris's date of birth wrong!
If he can't get a simple fact like that correct, then what does it say for the rest of the book??

I've been wanting that....so if you do read it please let me know how bad it is!

I read it years ago and I remember thinking that it seemed like just a bunch of newspaper/magazine articles rehashed. Kinda lame for such an interesting subject. Chris should really do his own book. I love reading rock stars memoirs.

I know what you mean, Wildflower. It seems quite factual. I too love reading about their lives.

Does that make us interested or just plain nosey?? laugh.gif
CI's Cali Girl
Read that book years ago. Badly written, poorly researched. He gets a lot wrong, not just his birthday. I think he googled a lot of tabloid articles and put it together. He never interviewed Chris, Kenney or any of the other band members.

I enjoyed reading the book. I read it a few years ago. My two aunts, both CI fans, enjoyed it too. It's a fun light read. Good for an airplane trip.
Not quite sure who the editor is, but I agree with a few others, there are mistakes in it.
It reminds me of the first year of college, when you write your first paper. You research the topic and put it all together. Off the top of my head I can't remember if there are citations.
One story in there I found particularly funny, if it was true, the Johnny Carson and Ed flipping the bird to the band story. Someone please ask Chris if that was true.
