XM Radio!!I have an XM radio in my car. They play Chris all the time on XM Cafe and quite often on Hear Music, which is the channel they play in Starbucks! I have one of the radios that you can set to beep whenever one of your favorite artists play. My kids are always like, "Oh no Mom, is it Chris Isaak again!"
Here is a link that shows the history of Chris's airplay on XM radio.

Down here in Aus. you hear him a lot in supermarkets and shopping malls. It'll mostly be either 'WG', 'BDABBT', or 'Somebody's Crying'. But just the other day I heard 'Think of Tomorrow' in Coles (supermarket). They also play him a lot in my local Safeway, which I think is kind of appropriate, as he says himself he does most of his shopping there, lol. (NO....not MY local Safeway - God, I wish, lol - that's HIS one, in San Francisco). I even heard 'Gone Ridin' once - now that one you never hear much anywhere!

When I go to the mall in town oddly enough one of his songs usually is playing when I enter. That's quite alright with me. It always seems to put a little swing in my hips and a beat to my step. That's the best kind of shopping!

What is it with our supermarkets and shopping malls, they hardly every play him on the radio in my area but I walk into the local shopping mall and there he is playing over the loudspeaker, if its a good song, I walk around until it finishes and then go into the shops!! Sad but true...

Heya all.
I can't believe it.Yesterday (Saturday) I was driving home from a job and I never usually
flick from one radio station to another, because I have a favourite one,but they played some crappy
song so I went for a flick.I heard Wicked Game from the beginning then had another flick to a different station and they played I Want You To Want Me.I grinned all the way home.
Couldn't believe what I had just heard.
Usually you're lucky to hear him once a day on any of our radio stations down ere in W.A..
I'm swooning now......

Hmm, I've had very good Chris luck lately. Heard Want You To Want Me on the radio yesterday and a few days before that, managed to hear both King Without A Castle and Somebody's Crying on the radio. Twice, as I was getting into my car, the radio came on in mid-CI

. Recently also heard I Believe at Marshall's and Go Walking Down There at the fabric store. Had to pretend I was very interested in the drapery hardware so I could stand right under the speaker and listen. I've heard 2 Hearts more than once at Safeway. Best surprise was when I went to an indoor play place last week with my little boy, and in the art room they usually play music on a portable CD player. All of a suden I hear King Without A Castle and realize that this tiime they're playing the radio.

I don't know about the music in the stores but the radio station is KFOG in San Francisco, one of the first ones to support Chris's music, and they've been around for a LONG time, too. They're the ones who did the Concert For Kids with him headlining in '04 and had the video clips on their website. Great station!

I am in retail management.
We have a "service" that head office subscribes to. They send us "update" discs monthly.
After returning to work after two weeks vacation, I uploaded the "August" cd on Monday morning.
After a rather challenging first day (wacko customers etc), I nearly fell over as I was getting ready to leave for the day.
The first few notes of Let Me Down Easy filled the store. I yelped, my staff laughed, I "sushed" them and stood listening - entirely enveloped in the sweet sound, unaware of anything around me - then left a very happy girl - recounting the Fallsview concert in Niagara and the close "Chris" encounter in the casino....... The drive home seemed easier that day.........
After answering a survey for them (months ago) stating that CI&S should be included in their selections, I was thrilled to hear the song..........my goodness...........someone actually, possibly, reads those things........
It was pretty much the highlight of the day............

You've got the power, Favr8. BTW, I think it was classy that you didn't stop Chris at 1 a.m. in the casino. It must have been tempting. I hope Chris and the guys like coming to Niagara Falls. There are no bullets there, with or without eyes.

I like to think he's on that disc just because of me!

- yeah.....right.........
I hope they like it there too - better chance of a "no bullet" experience - as long as they stay away from the seedy part of town........
BTW - I'm pretty sure I was sitting right next to you and your crew in the third row. The friend of yours in the red dress was in the seat beside my friend. I'm pretty sure you were the one in the blue halter dress with the long dark hair......right?

Hey Favr8 -- That's cool! Yes, you can't miss my friend Felicity or forget her either, in that red dress...she's quite a character. I was sitting beside her in the blue dress. I hope we didn't bump into you when we went up to the stage for a bit. Did you go up to the stage?

Sorry, don't remember if you guys passed us or not on your way up to the stage. If you went "left" then yes you definately passed us.
No, I didn't go up to the stage - I'm a seat dancer.
I have this handicap - if I stand in a crowd, not too many people can see past me, that would be rude ( ya know.........it's all about the "polite" thing..............I'm 6' 2" tall, and that night I wore my boots, which made me a very scarey 6' 5" - I would have blocked the view right back through to the 10th row.........No wonder Chris looked like he wanted to run in the Casino............just imagine a freaked out 6'5" woman with bulging eyes and beating on her friend....coming toward you..........Ha ! - now you all have to live with that mental image just like I do....
Favr8
FifiKitty
Aug 27 2006, 03:27 PM
Yes, we must have passed you on our way to the stage since we went left. There's quite a bit of room between rows, so hopefully we didn't bump you. Best not to stand at a CI concert if you are 6'2"/6'5" with boots. The folks behind you might have become angry and rabid....
I doubt Chris was scared of you in the casino....I'm sure you weren't that scary.

I heard Wicked Games playing at Walgreens a couple of years ago and had to stop shopping to listen to it.
But most of all, Chris saved my life many times while driving. See I fall asleep driving no matter if I'm tired or not and the only way I can stop from doing that, is to put in one of my many CD's of his and sing along.

Of course I'm singing at the top of my lungs and look strange to other drivers but at least I make it home alive! I tried other CD's but they just don't work like his.
Thanks Chris for saving my life so many times,
Shelley

This is too weird!! I was listening to Chris on my way to Kohl's today and was still humming in my head to "Flyin" in the dressing room and the song came on!!!! It totally freaked me out because for a second I thought I must be singing out loud (and sounding really good)!!! Then I realized it was the intercom, said a cuss word and started laughing and couldn't stop.... Then the person in the room next to me started laughing! It was very silly
I have never heard "Flyin'" anywhere. Kohl's rocks!

I meant to post this a while ago but had a senior moment and forgot!
I was at Office Works with Miss 8 gathering the years school supplies and CI&S came on overhead. I heard myself say 'Ha! It's Chris" with amusement in my voice and I start smileing quitely to myself. Miss 8 then announces to the man next to us, who was checking out the manilla folder section that "Chris Isaak is my mums favourite man!"
"favourite singer sweetheart, favourite singer" I say as I smile and raise my eyebrows smugly at the stranger.
I could feel my cheeks burning and then manilla folder man says to Miss 8 "you're mum has good taste in music and he's my wife's favourite man too"! At this he winks at me

and moves on to the business sized envelopes!
Hilarious!!
God bless Chris and his universal appeal!
