I guess the obvious answer right now would be any home remodeling books with pics. and info about "how to's" on getting the look he is after. Do Victoria's Secret catalogues count as literature??

His degree wasn't exactly in English literature. It was in English and Communication Arts, and heavy on on the Communication side. In 1973, Chris - who loves to do comedic impressions - won an award from the California National Forensics League for "Humorous Interpretration": he performed a scene from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" as Nixon, Kissinger, and the other Watergate names at the time.
Once, when he was a little boy - maybe 6 or 7? - Chris had an acute stomach ache. It hurt so badly, that he had to hunch over to ease the pain. Chris didn't want his mother to know, he knew how hard she worked and didn't want to interrupt her schedule nor have the family incur any medical bills. So he walked around in his bathrobe, hunched over, pretending to be holding a cigar and talking like Groucho Marx. He kept this Groucho Marx impression up for almost a week, until his mother discovered he was hiding a stomach ache and took him to the hospital.
He does not read novels so much anymore. He does read "Architectural Digest" and the PennySaver magazines!

That sounds like a serious stomachache but I guess he lived through it. Couldn't have been appendix or he'd have died in a week probably.

A.I.A.T,
I can't find anything like that. All I found was the ability to change your
EMAIL address.
So, I'm guessin' (haven't tested it yet) that you can change the email
on your 'offensive' name, therefore, freeing up your original email for a
new, less offensive, name.

I got excited when I read Jac's suggestion that he reads Plato (although I doubt that it's true). Deep. Last Days of Socrates is definitely an inspiring read. It takes a bit of discipline to stay with it in the beginning, but its worth it by the end.
That's a lovely story about young Chris SiRE. What a nice boy he must have been. Must have broken his mother's heart to discover that he had been in agony for an entire week. It must take quite a lot of inner resolve to put on a comedy act when one's doubled over with pain. Good one, Chris.

Aww,poor Chris! His mom must have been upset when she realized what he was doing to mask the pain. Ouch, Chris! But at the same time, what a sweet way to try to help(in a kid's mind). Yes, he strikes me as a highly intelligent guy who uses humor in times that are stressful. My brother is the same way, and close to Chris's age (grew up in the same generation). I think that's why I like Chris so much. He is alot like my older siter and my brother if they were combined into one person. Not too mention the obvious good looks and talent....and VOICE!

Just a note asking me to change the display name even though there is no way to do that. And they didn't seem to have any idea how it could be done either. So I tried your suggestion and it worked but I can't post w/the new name yet because I have to wait for them to "approve" it so I'll keep using the old name until they get on it. Funny, if I could have just stayed unregistered they wouldn't have had this issue, but since this cuts down slightly on the 0.03% of posts that are obvious spam I guess it's a good thing, huh?

No, this isn't AOL. I think you're referring to chatrooms and the aol messenger service which is a whole nother animal.
Messageboards are designed to give people an opportunity to post and be read. So, it wouldn't make sense to ERASE something like it didn't exist. I like the option of being able to read individual posts.
I could use the service to IGNORE everyone. Thereby, not seeing any post. I would only see those posts that I click on.
Or, I could use the service to have communication with a certain group and avoid interacting with the public....like Google seems to be doing.

No, I meant when you post on message boards that are within AOL you can say "ignore user" if someone really bugs you and then you never see their posts at all, they become invisible to you. Still don't get how ignore works here, I may have to try it to see.
