He's become a houseband name, now.
The last few Google Alerts about Chris Isaak were just references.
"...used to tour with CI..."
"...sounds like CI..."
"...CI performed here..."
Wicked Game has been covered A LOT more than any of his other songs. Makes sense if you want to please your audiences to play the songs that work the room the best.
My opinion...if I'm going to expend the effort and money to go see a live show...I want something original. Otherwise, I can stay home and play the radio or play my favorite songs on disc.

I'm getting A LOT more references to Chris Isaak being associated with Helena Christensen. "You know that hot girl in Chris Isaak's video?"

Supermodel Sued Over NYC Apartment Deck 1 day ago
NEW YORK (AP) — Helena Christensen recently appeared in an environmental ad campaign urging people to "do a good turn." But one of her New York neighbors says the Danish supermodel won't do the same in a dispute over a deck on her Manhattan apartment.
Fran Panasci sued Christensen in state Supreme Court on Thursday, seeking to have the wooden deck torn down. Panasci says the deck, off the model's home on Hudson Street in the chic West Village, generates noise and vibrations and intrudes on her building on neighboring Charles Street.
"It blocks all light, all air, and it's damaging my client's building," said Panasci's lawyer, Elizabeth Harrington. She said Panasci had tried unsuccessfully to settle the dispute without going to court.
But Christensen's spokesman, Jason Deyonker, said the deck was legal and Panasci's complaints "have already been addressed." He said Christensen had tried to resolve Panasci's concerns over the past year and had brought in an engineering firm to make sure the deck would not cause trouble.
Christensen, 38, became known in the U.S. after appearing in the atmospheric, black-and-white video for singer-songwriter Chris Isaak's hit "Wicked Game" in 1991. She co-owns a New York fashion and interior design shop, Butik.
Now, this is funny because Chris Isaak did a show about a neighbor building a deck and he calls the city, anonymously (ha!), to have him cited. Chris feels really bad about it...it wasn't his idea, it was Kenney's. Kenney convinced him that his neighbor was INFRINGING on his privacy. The whole show is about privacy because Yola has to deal with the papparazi taking pictures "through windows". They publish a photo of her and Isaak together in his car and Isaak APPEARS to have his hands all over her. For some ODD reason, like professional ethics, she's bothered by the photo and insinuation that they're romantically involved. What's wrong with that? Well, she's hanging around a group of very sucessful women whom she THINKS looks down upon her for going out with Chris. (She doesn't really know these women...and they look to me like they'd do the same thing). Chris even tells her that he's EXPECTED to fool around with her and every other female he comes into contact with. But he agrees to go out to eat with someone else for awhile...

But in the end, he fails miserably at making peace with his neighbors, getting typecast in a film AND trying to convince Yola's "pals" that she's never used sex to advance her position. Oh, and Yola calls our hero a hero!
