"ARTIST: CHRIS ISAAK

SINGLE: I WANT YOU TO WANT ME (Reprise Records)

Chris Isaak is talented, handsome, enduring -- and yet the hits have
inexplicably eluded him so many times. He reaches out once again
with another single from his "Best of Chris Isaak," a frathouse-worthy,
rockabilly-infused cover of Cheap Trick's 1979 top 10 signature
"I Want You to Want Me." As he often does, Isaak meshes passion
and grand musicianship with amusement -- a formula that makes
so much of his music sound like a party. As good as it gets from a
fine, sadly underrated talent."

Chris is never given his due!! His music is one of a kind, just like Dwight, Roxy Music, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, The Reverend Horton Heat! But cookie cutter musicians are all over the radio.
That's why I listen to cds!! and mp3s!!! Or even my computer like now, is playing Roxy Music Jealous Guy, cheers all and Mr Bryan Ferry!!

Speaking of Chris in the charts, the 'Best Of' album has re-entered the top 20 here in Aus (it's actually sitting at No. 20 right now). There's usually a little description with the chart-entry in this top 20, but all this one said for Chris this time round was: "Artist enters the country - album re-enters the top 20". A little too succinct, eh?? laugh.gif
